There are 100 cm in 1 m, right?

So 14m x (100 cm/ 1m) = 1400 cm

Is that less than or greater than 140 cm?
I hope you can figure it out from here.

1 m = 100 cm
14 m = 14 * 100 cm = 1400 cm

1400 cm is greater than 140 cm

Therefore, 14 m is greater than 140 cm.
