disance between (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) is
[tex]D= \sqrt{(x2-x1)^2+(y2-y1)^2} [/tex]
given (-2,5)  (3,-4)
[tex]D= \sqrt{(3-(-2))^2+(-4-5)^2} [/tex]
[tex]D= \sqrt{(5)^2+(-9)^2} [/tex]
[tex]D= \sqrt{25+81} [/tex]
D=√106
the distance is √106 units or abotu 10.2
