10 Cecelia took 40 minutes to complete a journey. She travelled half the distance at a speed of 100 km/h and the other half at 60 km/h. How far was her journey?

40 min = 40/60 hr = 2/3 hr

Distance = x km

t=distance/speed

x/200+x/120=2/3

multiply by 6oo

3x+5x=400

8x=400

x = 400/8=50km

The journey is for 50km
