Well, we know the formula, lets start plugging!

List what is known and unknown:

mass = 1 kg

velocity = 5 m/s

KE = ?

Lets plug it into the equation:

ke = 1/2mv^2

ke = 1/2 * 1kg * (5 m/s)^2

ke = 12.5 Joules of kinetic energy.

Taaddaa!!! Magic right? Next time try listing what you know and don't know, then look at your equation and match the corresponding things with it. Sometimes you'll need two equations because one equation may be missing 2 variables. Anyways,

Have a great day!
